The Owners
Sleeping Bird Coffee began when Zach DeLong of Scission Espresso and Leigh Ann Tona of I Don’t Give a Fork decided they worked better with each other than without. One day after grabbing a pizza from La Pizzeria Metro, they walked by what would later be Sleeping Bird Coffee and commented to each other that the then empty building would make a great coffee shop. A week later, they met with the landlord to discuss details of the building, and then a year and a half after THAT (things moved a bit slow), they finally were able to sign a lease for the now Sleeping Bird Coffee, which opened in May 2021.
